Kids should know how to save money?

I recently read an article on Bnet networks about how people want their kids to save money since their early ages. This is a very considerable point that every parent should have in their agenda for their kids.

What are the ways by which you can promote kids for this? well! it depends on the age of the kid. For an year group of 3-6, I think we can make it as:

1. Making sure on any birthday whether its there or their sis or brother’s, they can save more money not only to gift the birthday person but can also buy something for themselves

2. Make a piggie bank or a currency collector available to them easily

3. Explain them every time when you buy something for them you had to pay for it and how much time or effort does it take to get that money by putting a short story

here is the link that I referred above! How do you make your kids -a money saver?

Indian kids migrating

I have many of my friends migrating to other world like USA, UK etc for their jobs. I have seen their small kids moving along. One big change these kids face is getting in a closed house for hours, days and months.

In india, our kids are most frequent to move in and out of house, whether someone rings the doorbell or there is some noise (music, shouts, horning) happening outside. But in countries like USA where the climate is mostly chilled, how do these kids behave? what they do with all silences all around? What else their parents have to do to help them engaged? Are they very comfortable there playing on carpet and help in maintaing it unspoiled for long?

I know about my kids, I only ask them to move out and see some greenary around and also do Namaste to Sun in its rising state. What do you do?

Technical skills for Indian Kids

I wired this question as- What could be a better combination of skills that you think you need to have for your kids? Language, Literature, Music, Etiquettes, know nature? or any other thing you have? Let me know your thoughts.

And Kunal jain answered this as -Apart from language, music, etiquette, I think an early grasp & interest of technology is extremely important for today’s children. I believe that this can give them an edge later on.

This is a very big change in our Indian society that we MUST seek technology learnings for our kids. I can see my kids are a better user of my mobile, our TV and its TATA SKY, use of software at age of just 5 years and below.

This is a considerable gap among our generations like my parents then my age and my kids. Learning technology and making better use of it, is I can see in coming generations.

Do you like to share some interesting moments/ use of technology comparing you and a kid (may be your if married or other if not ;) )?
